Geraldine Balka, age 78, a resident of Franklin and a native of Bayou Sale, La., died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 10:25 AM at her residence. Visitation will be Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin, La., from 9:00 AM until service at 11:00 AM. Burial in the St. John Cemetery in Franklin, La. Geraldine leaves to cherish her memories; two sons, Deacon Harold (Regina) Balka and Dale Balka all of Franklin, La; three sisters, Sarah F. Marks of Sorrell, La., Florence G. Cage and Lee Esther F. Hunt both of Franklin, La; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Willie Fleming and Odelia Johnson Fleming.
