A public viewing will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Greater New Fountain Baptist Church, 233 East 12th St., Lockport, LA, 70374. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Henry is survived by his wife, Georgia Williams Spears; children, Sylvester Spears (Kathy), Wendell Spears, Drucilla Spears, Tina Spears (Arthur) and Mack Spears (Sherika); nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Mary Lee Taylor (Alex); godson, Jordan Mosley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Sheldon Spears; parents, Henry, Sr. and Gertrude Johnson Spears; sisters, Victoria Williams, Almeda Baker and Corine Davis.
