Irma Coleman

Visitation and funeral services will be observed on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 10:00AM until funeral time at 12:00PM at Morning Star Baptist Church 411 Hwy 308 Raceland, LA 70394. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. 

She is survived by her sons, Bishop Samuel Jones; Bishop William Caldwell, Jr.; Bishop Olivan (Zfelda) Caldwell; Michael Coleman; Ernest (Hattie) Coleman; Lee Coleman; Douglas and Donald Coleman. Daughters, Elvina Jones Thompkins and Elnora Jones; thirty nine grandchildren; one hundred eight great grandchildren; forty-two great -great grandchildren and twenty great-great-great grandchildren. Sister-in-law; Jane Coleman and Sally Williams and godchildren; Herbert Hadley and Larry Ingram, Jr. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond Coleman, Sr., and Elvina Stratton Coleman. Sons, Anthony Coleman; Clifford Brown and daughters; Ida Coleman; Ernestine Jones and Linda Coleman Mitchell. Brothers, Edmond Coleman, Jr.; Frank Coleman; Chester Coleman and James Coleman. Sisters, Ernestine Smith; Estella Mitchell; son-in-law; David Thompkins, Sr. Grandsons; David Thompkins, Jr.; Robert Ingram; Granddaughter, Angela Coleman; great-grandson; Ky'driuan Thompkins and sister-in-law; Leona Crandle; niece, Geraldine Mitchell and nephew; Wayne Todd.
