Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16 at Beulah Baptist Church located at 5544 North Bayou Black Drive in Gibson with Pastor Norman Edmonds, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Triumph Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Wayne Givens Sr.; daughters, Angela and Holly Givens; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and brothers, David (Emmy) Givens and Morris Lee Givens.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Golda Mae Givens; son, Stanley Hilton Lee Givens; parents, James Sr. and Flossie Gibson-Givens; brothers, Ernest, Matt, Lawrence and Joseph Givens; sisters, Albertha and Jinnie Bea Givens, Lillie Myles and Annie Chapman; paternal grandparents, Matt Givens, Sr. and Jeanette Hall; and maternal grandparents, Steve and Anne Gibson.
