Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel located at 6775 West Park Avenue in Houma. Burial will follow in Halfway Cemetery.
He is survived by his devoted companion Rosie Beauty; brothers, Terry Hawthorne (Cassandra), Elton Hawthorne (Geraldine), Ronald Hawthorne (Lisa), Royal Hawthorne (Patricia) and Peter Walters; sisters, Constance Robinson (Henry), Elsie Thomas, Janice Ruiz (Domingo, Sr.), Marna W. Reed, Sandra L. Doris, Mydria Mickel (Albert), Remona Johnson (Michael) and Alfreada l. Hammonds; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma James Hawthorne and Roy Pete Adams; brother, Charles Adams; sisters, Joan George, Joyce Ann Hawthorne, Willie Lee Renkins and Ethel Mae Watkins.
