Joann Alvis

Visitation and funeral services will be observed on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 8:00 AM until funeral time at 10:00 AM at Dularge Community Baptist Church 549 Andrew St., Houma, LA 70360. Burial at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery. 

She is survived by her husband; Apostle Kerry Collins Alvis, Sr., and children; Kerry Collis Alvis, Jr., Tonya Alvis Willis (Jermaine Willis) and Natasha Collins Alvis. Brothers; Nathaniel, Robert and Theordore Green. Aunt; Charlotte Riley Shephard and uncle; Henry Riley, twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and godchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Green, Sr., and Doretha Green, grandparents, Joseph Riley, Sr., and Ruth Tyler Riley. Brothers; Samuel Green, Sr., and John Wayne Green. Sisters; Beatrice Miller and Gustavia Charles and granddaughter; Zaila Oneal.
