John W. Blackwell, age 68, a resident and a native of Morgan City, La. died Sunday, March 14th, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette, La., at 6:10 AM. Visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home, Inc. in Morgan City, La., Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 10:00 AM until memorial at 11:00 AM. John was survived by his ex-wife; Rosemary Blair; two daughters, Joan Waynette Blackwell(grandsons: Rhyse and Ronin Cunningham) of Los Angeles, Ca., and daughter Margo Blackwell Wallis (granddaughter Colette Blackwell); two sisters, Cynthia Blackwell Maze of Lafayette and Georgia Mae Ellis Singleton (Maurice) of Bay St. Louis, MS.; two god-children, and a host of nieces, nephews and ""Brother in Heart"", William ""BILL"" Cefalu. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.
