Jonathan "JD" Davis

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Peter Baptist Church of Montegut. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM with eulogist by Pastor James Joseph of Houma, LA. Interment will follow at Bisland Cemetery.

Jonathan was born on January 17, 1960, in New Orleans, LA to Lena D Hunter and late Jonathan Smith. Jonathan’s greatest love was making those around him laugh. “Aw Baby it’s going to be alright” was his favorite phrase.

Jonathan was baptized at an early age at St. Peter Baptist Church. He graduated from South Terrebonne High and went on to work at Vacco Marine.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jonathan Davis; maternal grandmother Lena “Bittie” Jones; grandfather Stanley Davis, Sr; great grandmother Eva Thibodaux; five aunts Eva Mae Clay, Mable Jones, Annie Lee Lyons, and Annie Bell Jones; four uncles Webster Davis, Jimmy Davis, Michael Davis and Stanley Davis, Jr.

He Leaves to cherish his memories his mother Lena D Hunter; one brother Travers(Nadine) Davis of Houma, LA; three sisters; Brenda (Raynard Sr.) Scott of Long Beach, CA., Cheryl Hunter of Austin TX, and Lisa Mae Pepp -Jones of New Orleans, LA; two nephews: Jermaine Robinson, Jr and Raynard Scott Jr. of Long Beach, CA; two nieces; Paulena White of Austin, TX and Huey anna White of Houston, TX; a devoted friend Kim Kenny; three aunts; Thelma Matthews Isabella Smith, Ernestine Thomas both of Chauvin and Maryann (Anthony) Collins of Shreveport. Two uncles; Ernest Davis of Houma LA, and Morris (Belle) Davis of Chauvin; great nephew Pup- Chocolate of Long Beach, CA and great niece Pup -Xena of Austin, TX.
