Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Residence Baptist Church, 2605 Isaac Street in Houma, LA. NO public viewing will be conducted. Due to pandemic, everyone will be required to wear face masks in building at all times. Burial will follow in Union Benevolent Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Lagarde Thompson; sons, Joseph Thompson, III., Gerald and Marquis Stove; daughters, Brittany and Whitney Thompson; nine grandchildren; mother, Lula Calloway Thompson; brother, Jessie Thompson, Sr.; (Stephanie); and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph "King Fish" Thompson, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Colbert Thompson and Ida Mae Lyons; maternal grandparents, James, Sr. and Eula Calloway; great grandparents, William Smith (Elizabeth) and Van Lyons.
