Joseph Larry "Power House" Roberts

Joseph Larry "Power House" Roberts, 66, a resident of New Iberia, LA and native of Jeanerette, LA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 12, 2020 at 9:10 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 11:00 A. M. at Jones Funeral Home 604 Lovette Street Jeanerette, LA. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). Pastor Ulysses Mitchell will officiate the services. 

Joseph Larry or "Power House," as he was known to many, leaves to cherish his memory; his daughter, Chavona (Allen) Roberts of Houston, TX; five sisters, Catherine Edwards of Houston, TX; Rose (Tony) White, Jenell (Calvin) Jeanlewis, Betty Drexler and Verna Sereal all of Jeanerette, LA; three brothers, Harold (Marla) Roberts of  Loreauville, LA, Patrick (Tonya) Roberts of Jeanerette, LA and Christopher (Joyce) Roberts of Houston, TX; two sisters-in-law, Leola Roberts of Houston, TX and Linda Bolden of Glenco, LA; seven grandchildren, four godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joseph Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Marks; his parents, Leo and Viola Roberts; three brothers, Merlin, James, and Donald Roberts; his sisters, Irma Roberts, Merlie Mae Minor and Rita Landry; two brothers -in-law, Anasis Johnson and Wilmer Sereal and a step-daughter, who he loved as his own for many years, Felicia Marks
