Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church located at 120 Hialeah Ave. in Houma with burial to follow in Halfway Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband Norris Hester; son, Sean Hester (Shirley); daughter, Valerie Charles (Javar); eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; god-daughter, Monica Givens; brothers, Theophilius Pharr, Sr. (Joyce) and Dwight Pharr (Christine); sisters, Patricia Pharr, JoAnn Trahan (Allen), Janice Blackmon (Donald) and Alma Gray (Reginald).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theophilus, Sr. and Zenobia Aldridge-Pharr; paternal grandparents, Namon and Effie Pharr; and maternal grandparents, Jessie and Ora Baker.
