

Visitation will be observed on Saturday November 27, 2021 at the Mount Zion Baptist Church from 9:30 AM until the Order of the Eastern Star Burial Ceremony beginning at 11:30 AM. A Celebration of Life will be held at High Noon. Reverend Michael Reed, Sr. will officiate the services. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). Burial will follow funeral services in the Monroe City Cemetery. Services will be accessible by viewing the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook Page at 1:00 P. M. on Saturday November 27, 2021.
Mama as she was called by nearly everyone that came in contact with her leaves to cherish her memories. six sons: Richard Bowie, Jr. of Monroe, Louisiana, David Bouie, Sr. (Barbara) of Crossett, Arkansas, Robert Bouie (Sheryl), Titus Bouie (Rochelle), John Henry Bouie (Cynthia), and Louis Bouie all of Houston, Texas; two daughters: Jessie Toliver of Long Beach, California and Margaret Bowie-Thompson (Roy) of Shreveport, Louisiana, thirty-five, grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, fifteen great-great-grandchildren, five great-great-great grandchildren, three godchildren: Carolyn LaJune of Houston, Texas Alesia Caston, and Eugene Smith, Jr. both of Rayville, Louisiana, a special cousin, Ms. Gladys and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative, and friends
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bouie, Sr.; a daughter, Rosa Bouie Henry; two sons, Solomon Bouie and Roosevelt Bouie; her parents, Solomon Griffin and Nancy Jynes and two brothers, Robert Olliver and Reverend L. B. Olliver, Sr.
