La’Derica Sha'Nay Chavis

Visitation will be observed on Saturday September 4, 2021 from 9:00 A. M. until funeral services at 11:00 A. M. at Jones Funeral Home, 1101 Main Street Franklin, LA. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). Burial will follow funeral services in the Sorrell Community Cemetery in Sorrell, LA.  

Memories of La'Derica will forever remain in the hearts of her husband, Shaquore Chavis of Port Arthur, TX; mother, Carla White of New Iberia, LA; father, Curtis Davis Sr. of Scott, LA; children, La’Tonya Fonteno, Ken’Driana Howard, and La’Darrius Davis; brother, Curtis Davis Jr. of New Iberia, LA; god-parents, Wendy Gabriel, Lathaniel Sereal, Wanda Sereal and Debra Washington and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

La'Derica was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Esther Moore and Beatrice Davis; grandfathers, Wesley Moore and Dolphy Jackson; a sister, La’Tonya Jenkins; cousins, Juandre Devon Gilliam, Sr. and Jasmine Gabriel and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
