Linda Craft

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Greater New Vision Baptist Church, 6036 W. Main Street, Houma, Louisiana. A Celebration of Life honoring Linda will begin at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Gibson, Louisiana.

Linda Craft was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was centered around her family, her faith, and caring for those she loved. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, her love of cooking and entertaining, and the special joy she found in spending time with her family.

Linda dedicated part of her working life to housekeeping in the hospital setting, where her hard work and dedication were appreciated by those around her. She was a member of New Vision, and her faith remained an important part of her life.

In her free time, Linda enjoyed cooking, entertaining family, and attending church. Family gatherings held a special place in her heart, and she treasured the moments spent surrounded by those she loved.

Linda leaves to cherish her loving memory her children and grandchildren, Darnell Craft, Hester Craft Jr., Travis Craft, Mia Jordan Craft, Dominique Johnson, Darreon Johnson, and Myron Craft; her brothers, Michael Short and Darnell Short; and her aunts, Rosa Brown and Betty Washington. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, church family, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Ann Short, Rella Short and Julie Robinson; her brother, Gerald Short; her

grandparents, Albert Allen and Annie Hall Allen; and other beloved family members who welcomed her into eternal rest.

Linda's life will be remembered through the love she shared, the meals and gatherings that brought her family together, and the many precious memories she created with those closest to her. Although she will be deeply missed, her loving spirit and devotion to family will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
