

Lynn Ann Whitney was born on December 13, 1948, in New Orleans, LA, to the late Adeline P. Whitney and Washington Nicholas “Nick” Whitney. On August 23, 1970, Lynn married Daniel “Dan” Adams. To this union, one son, Damien Jonero Adams, was born.
Lynn had a quiet sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking, playing with her many dogs, and watching The Young and the Restless. She also loved shopping on QVC. An avid reader, Lynn’s favorite genres were romance and suspense novels. Lynn was proud of her family, especially her three grandchildren and great-grandson.
Lynn leaves to cherish her memory: son, Damien (Daphne) Adams; grandchildren, Bree Lynn, Brittany Marie, and Bryce Michael Adams; great-grandson, Adrian Harrison; her brother, Rodney (Janice) Whitney, Sr., Marrero, LA; brothers-in-law, Leonard Jones, Larose, LA.; James (Doris) Adams, Raceland, LA and Thomas Adams, Bayou Blue, LA; sisters-in-law, Doris (Cyril) Bourda, Larose, LA, Diane Adams, Raceland, LA, Rose Mary Brown, Houma, LA, Sadie (Randy) Fazande, Raceland, LA, Debra Adams, Bayou Blue, LA, and Beverly Morgan, Houma, LA; godchildren, Tranise W. Tyler, Brandon Whitney, and Breyden Whitney; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lynn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Gwendolyn W. Jones and Gilda Lee Whitney; paternal grandparents, Washington and Florence Whitney; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Eugenie Peterson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daniel and Rose Dell Adams, and sister-in-law, Nedra B. Whitney.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 12911 E. Main Street, Larose, Louisiana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at the church.
Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
