Mardell Mary Burgess, age 91, a native and a resident of Patterson, La., died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 11:15 AM at the AMG Specialty Hospital-Lafayette in Lafayette, La. Visitation will be Thursday, February 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson, La., from 8:00 AM till Rosary at 10:00 AM, following funeral service at 10:30 AM. Burial in the church cemetery. Mardell leaves to cherish her memories; two sons, Terry Burgess and Adell Burgess both of Patterson, La; two daughters, Sandra Bradford and Sheena Roberson both of Patterson, La; three sisters, Anna Vinning and Geraldine Verdun both of Patterson, La., and Enola Walker of Verdunville, La; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph ""Zenobia Taylor"" Gobert, and her husband, O'Brien Burgess.
