Matilda ""Tillie"" Gallow-Edwards, age 85, a native of Ville Platte, La., and a resident of Berwick, La., died Monday, October 27, 2014 at her residence at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the St. John Baptist Church in Berwick, La., from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 1:00 PM. Entombment will be in the Berwick Cemetery. ""Mrs. Tillie"" leaves to cherish her memories; three sons, Melvin (Sandra) Edwards of Spring, TX, Michael Edwards of Berwick, LA, and Henry (Linda) Edwards of Winder, GA; two daughters, Barbara Porsche of Morgan City, LA and Ophelia Green of Morgan City, LA; two sisters, Sophvila Toussiant of Ville Platte, LA and Mary Charles of Houston, TX; special friends; Martha Cox and Geraldine Clark; eighteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and a host nieces nephews and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents; Alcedias and Regina Thomas-Gallow; her husband, Lawrence Roy Edwards and a daughter Priscilla Sanders, five sons, a sister, two brothers.
