Mattie Elizabeth Palmer

Visitation will be observed on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Jones Funeral Home, 715 Sixth St., Morgan City, LA., from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM, Dr. C. F. Smith will officiate.  Burial will follow services in the Morgan City Cemetery in Morgan City, LA.

Mrs. Palmer was one of the oldest citizens in Morgan City.

Memories of this centenarian, will forever remain in the hearts of her three daughters, Brenda Murray (Herman) of Patterson, LA and Nancy Campbell and Sharon Dardar (Terry) both of Morgan City, LA; 8 stepchildren, who called her "Montay", Ronald Campbell and Raymond Campbell both of Morgan City, LA, Glen Campbell of Boston, MA, Henry Campbell and Levi Campbell both of Franklin, LA and Craig Hall of New York; Wanda Lowery of Morgan City, LA and  Carol Newmeister of Lafayette, LA; eleven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Mattie was preceded in death by her parents, Zack Palmer, Sr. and Viola Johnson-Palmer; five children, two grandchildren and one brother, Zack Palmer, Jr.
