Melissa Henry Brooks, age 40, a native of Patterson, La., and a resident of Jackson, Ms., died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Chateau Terrebonne Nursing Care in Houma, La., at 11:23 PM. Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 2013 at New Mt. Esther Baptist Church, 1211 James St., in Siracusa from 9:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Willing Workers Cemetery in Patterson, La. Melissa leaves to cherish her memories; her husband, Lamark Brooks of Jackson, Ms; two brothers, Earl Henry, Sr., of New Iberia, La., and Randy Henry of Berwick, La; three sisters, Patricia Henry, Nova Merritt and Hope Chatman all of Patterson, La; and a host of relatives and friends. Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Joseph and Velma Jean Brown Henry.
