Melvin J. "Pipe” Brown, Sr

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Lee Chapel AME Church 609 Freret St. Morgan City, LA from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Linda Hawkins Brown of Morgan City, LA; a son, Melvin (Felicia) Brown, Jr. of Patterson, LA; two daughters, Alacia Brown of Morgan City, LA and Heather West of Lafayette, LA; two brothers, Herbert (Cheryl) Brown, Sr. of Houma, LA and Anthony (April) Brown of St. Martinville, LA; four sisters, Joetta Hebert, Carolin Long and Janita (Brian) Randle all of Morgan City, LA; and Annie (Richard) Wilson of Spring, TX; his mother-in-law, Thelma Bill of Morgan City, LA; fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Pipe was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Lee Brown, Sr. and Roberta Brown, two brothers, Eddie Lee Brown, Jr., and Charles Brown and a sister, Lydia Vernon.
