Melvin Francis, Sr

Melvin Francis, Sr., age 65, died Wednesday, May 6th at 9:20pm at his resident in Patterson, La., following a long illness. He was a native of Patterson, La. Visitation will be at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, Tuesday, May 12th, from 10:00 Am until funeral time at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Patterson Memorial Cemetery Melvin is survived by; three sons: Melvin Francis, Jr. & Stephen Troy Francis both of Patterson, and Alexander Grogan of Morgan City, La., five daughters; Andrea Harper of St. Robert Missouri, Carla Chaney, Stephanie Francis & Leslie Delco all of Patterson, & Karen Tillman of Morgan City, La., five brothers; Lawrence Francis, Warren Francis & Vernon Francis all of Patterson, La., Morris Williams & Frederick Porter both of Houston, Tx., six sisters; Edith Williams of Round Rock, Tx., Virginia Delouette, Jo Jeanette Roberson & Sheril Henry all of Patterson, Patricia Taylor of Oakland, Calif., Lynette Green of Richmond, Calif., 28 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
