Melvin R. ""Butch"" Wilson, Jr., age 61, a native and a resident of Franklin, La., died Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Regional Medical Center in Lafayette at 6:40 AM. Visitation will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Triumph Baptist Church in Franklin, La., from 8:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be in the Franklin Cemetery. Melvin ""Butch"" leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Mary Wilson of Franklin, La; two sons, Michael Bob of Franklin, La., and Darius Bob of Baton Rouge, La; two daughters, Shunekera Conner and Kyla Webb both of Franklin, La; a sister, Doretha ""Sally"" Mitchell of Missouri City, TX; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; Melvin Wilson, Sr., and Delaware Smith.
