Michael Bonvillain Jr.

Michael J. Bonvillain Jr., 42, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, LA passed away Monday, April 14, 2025. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he received numerous honors for his bravery and service longevity. A proud son, brother, father, and uncle who valued spending time with family and creating new memories, Michael was a friend to everyone he met. He loved fishing and cooking and appreciated evenings outdoors admiring the beauty of sunsets. Michael leaves behind a legacy of generosity, honor, humor, and commendable resilience.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 26, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church, 120 Mission Blvd., Houma, LA, 70363 with funeral services commencing at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery, Houma, LA.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory two children, his son, Michael J. Bonvillain III, and his daughter Mana Bonvillain, his father Michael J. Bonvillain Sr., mother Yolanda Bonvillain, stepmother Rosie Bonvillain, four sisters LaToya Lyles (Chris), Erika Papillion (Derek), Amber Mosley (Terrence), and Christina Ezell (Jeremey), Grandmother Josephine Bonvillain, five stepsisters, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Willie Bonvillain Jr, maternal grandparents Alvin and Dorothy Brown, and Cousin Gregory Maryland Jr.
