Milton Burley Green, 54, a resident of Franklin and native of Bayou Sale, died Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at his residence. Visitations were observed Monday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Jones Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral rites were read at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, with Elder Charles Watkins Sr. officiating. Interment followed in the Golden Queen Cemetery in Centerville. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Darby Green; two sons, Milton Green Jr. and Theo Green; three sisters, Nellie G. (Charles) Watkins of Lafayette, Patricia G. (Henry) Avery of Temple, Texas and Annie Mae Jones of St. Joseph; three brothers, Rochester (Lucille) Green of Round Rock, Texas, Lester (Geraldine) Green of Austin, Texas and Larry J. (Brenda) Green of Franklin; two aunts, Louise Jones and Florence Cage; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
