

Minister Ernest Hartman, 67, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, died Friday, November 29, 2013 at 10:18 p.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Houma and from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Victory Christian Center. Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery. He is survived by: his wife, Hazel Lee Williams-Hartman; three daughters, Ariel Shemaine Norman, Leborah D. Spears-Norman and husband Dimson, and Nicole Javon Hartman; five sisters, Bernadine H. Carter, Loretta, Aletha and Elizabeth Hartman, and Lavern H. Short; two brothers, Pastor Grayling Hartman and wife Linda, and Arnold J. Hartman and wife Georgette; six grandchildren, Scott C. Norman, Briaunna C. Spears, Kyla S. Norman, Nicolas J. Hornsby, Xander C. Norman, and Xavier C. Norman; and one great-grandchild, Ari'yonna M. Norman. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Earl, Sr.""Lucky Fish"" and Beatrice Lagarde-Hartman; grandparents, Taylor and Elizabeth M. Lagarde; one sister, Paulette Hartman; and brothers, Earl Hartman, Jr. and Kenneth Hartman. Jones Funeral Home of Houma in charge of arrangements.
