Nakithe Nocole Singleton

Visitation will be observed on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Union Bethel AME Church, 956 Lake Palourde Rd Amelia, LA, from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow services in the Union Bethel Church cemetery in Amelia, LA.

Memories of Nakithe "O Mary Oncey" ,as she was known to many, will forever remain in the hearts of her four brothers, Rutherford Jones, Calvin Singleton, and Michael Singleton all of Amelia, LA;  and Clarence Jones and his wife, Ginessa of Conroe, TX; seven sisters, Monnie Clark, Lillian Diggs, Shantell McPherson and Cheryl Singleton all of Amelia, LA; Jessica Singleton of Jackson, MS, Michelle Singleton of Berwick, LA and Nakeitha Henderson and her husband Frank of Philadelphia, PA; three uncles, Robert Singleton of Patterson, LA, Alvin Singleton of Houma, LA and Harold Stewart of Placquemine, LA; eight aunts, Lillie Thibodaux of Morgan City, LA, Emma Matthews, Hilda Jones, and Dequiency Richardson all of Amelia, LA, Irma Stewart of Baker, LA; Jo Ann Smith Wallis of Avondale, LA, Rose Singleton of Patterson, LA and Cheryl Stewart of Plaquemine, LA; devoted friends, Lenora Garrett-Jones and Frankie Edwards and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Nakithe was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Ora Singleton-Smith; four aunts, Carol M. Hampton, Shirley Singleton, Shirley Mae Gains and Louise H. Robinson; seven uncles, Rayfield Richardson, Leroy Jones, Herman Singleton, Craig Watts, Rickey Smith, James E. Smith and Melvin Smith; her step-father, Hosea Clark and both her maternal and paternal grandparents.
