Naomi McKay

Visitation will be observed from 8:00 a.m. until funeral services at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel, 230 S. Hollywood Road, Houma, LA, 70360. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.) Burial will follow in the Beulah Church Cemetery in Gibson. 

Memories of Naomi will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Lorraine (Northern) Daigs, Charles Lee McKay, Melinda Livas and Timothy McKay; sister, Hazel Johnson; sister-in-law, Maxine Poindexter, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe McKay; parents, Townsend Poindexter and Castina Matthews Poindexter; daughter, Asilee McKay-Smith; siblings, Albert Poindexter, Laura Royal, Annie Rollins, Willie Poindexter, Mildred Mallet, Rosetta Maryland, and Lloyd Poindexter; grandchild, Steven Daigs, great-grandchild, Lamar Lathon and a son-in-law, Donald Jean Livas.
