O' Brian Stewart

O’Brian was educated at H. L. Bourgeois High School. A true jack of all trades, he possessed many talents and abilities. Throughout his life, he worked in several fields, including furniture making, kitchen work, maintenance, and welding.

O’Brian was a man who enjoyed life and the simple pleasures it offered. He loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed cooking, building things, gardening, listening to music, watching movies, and, most of all, spending time with his family.

O’Brian had a confident and playful spirit that brought laughter to those around him. He would often proudly say that he was “the best-looking man in the world” while kissing his muscles, a memory that will forever bring smiles to the faces of those who knew and loved him. He carried himself with remarkable strength and courage. Nothing could break his spirit; he was fearless, resilient, and determined no matter what life placed before him.

Above all, O’Brian treasured being a father. His children were a source of tremendous pride and joy, and to them, he was truly the best Dad. The love, strength, laughter, and memories he shared with his family will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

He shared his life with his ex-wife, Leslie Barrow Banks, and was the proud father of Keith Barrow, Brittany Stewart, Sherita Stewart, and Breanna Stewart. He was also a loving grandfather of seven grandchildren, Amori Nash, Delveore Nash, Kynadi Collins, Janiya Lebouf, Zaia Lebouf, Aurora Stewart and Shone Stewart.

O’Brian also leaves to cherish his precious memories, his godson, Donald Williams Jr.; his brother, Samuel Lee Stewart Jr.; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Stewart; his father, Samuel Lee Stewart; his daughter, Tiffany Stewart; his sister, Marie Barrow; his brothers, Larry Stewart and Thomas Stewart; and his nephew, Terrence Stewart.

O’Brian will be remembered for his fearless spirit, his many talents, his love of the outdoors, his unforgettable sense of humor, and, most importantly, the love he had for his family. Though he will be deeply missed, the laughter, strength, and love he gave so freely will live forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home, 230 S Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360, US, on August 24, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
