Obey ""Took"" Murray, age 94, a resident of Jeanerette, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at his residence at 6:10 PM. Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2011 at St. James Baptist Church in Lydia, La., from 9:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Holy Family Mausoleum. Rev. Ferris Martin, Officiating. Obey leaves to cherish his memory; his companion, Jessie Lee of Jeanerette, a daughter, Audrey Johnson of Lake Charles, La. and a sister, Martha Frazier of Houston, TX., and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, two wives, three sons, a grandson, two stepsons, and a stepdaughter.
