On July 4, 2025, Paula Jean Miles—forever “Tweety” to those who loved her—took flight into everlasting peace at 68 years of age. Cradled by prayers and gentle hands, she departed her earthly home, surrounded by family.
Born as the 3rd child to the union of Cementra Swing Wolfe and the late Roland Wolfe, Sr., Paula arrived on February 10, 1957. Baptized at New Rising Sun Baptist Church by Reverend Holmes, she carried her faith as a compass—guiding her generous gestures and kind words.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed immediately by a Homegoing Service at 11:00 a.m., both at New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 2766 Highway 311, Houma, Louisiana 70360. Paula will be laid to rest in PTR Cemetery, Wallis St., Houma, LA 70360.
After graduating from Terrebonne High School in 1975, Paula’s thirst for spiritual understanding blossomed into formal study, culminating in a Bachelor of Theology from United Theological Seminary and Bible College in 2006.
Paula is known to be a gentle person, generous giver and lover of life. She took pride in hard work and caring for her family. Music, dancing, gathering with family and friends, and laughing (especially at her own jokes) brought joy to Paula’s life. She also took pleasure in reading spiritual books, journaling, crocheting, and was a fan of basketball.
Paula’s greatest ministry was the love she bestowed upon her family. She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Cementra Wolfe; her sisters, Carmalisa James (Phil), Cotrice Wolfe, and Rolinda Wolfe; her brother, Roland Wolfe, Jr. (Grace); her children Auswanakee Wallis (Titus), Southern Smith, and Sheba Williams (Cobe); grandchildren DeJordan and Oshaye Wolfe, Yesha and Zyori Wallis, La’france and Syon Smith, London and Kingston Redman, Carmani Walker, and Cobe, Journey, and Siana Williams along with her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Preceding her in rest are her granddaughter, Justice Williams; her father, Roland Wolfe, Sr.; her brothers Jody, Gregory, and Bryan Wolfe; and her faithful companion and caregiver, Renailder Clark, Jr.
