​Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until wake services at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 922 Goode Street in Houma, LA. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 11:00 a.m. at New Rising Sun Baptist Church, 230 St. Charles St. in Houma. Burial will follow in New Zion Baptist Cemetery.

​He is survived by his sons, Blaine Linus and Dwayne Clay; daughter, Angel Clay; five grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Cardell, Brianna, and Bethany Clay and Dwayne Calloway; one great grandchild,  Brayden Brown; brother, Walter Clay; and a host of other relatives and friends.

​He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Simon Clay; parents, Wilton and Beulah Lyons Clay; brother, Wilton Clay, Jr.; sister, Ora Mae Wheeler.
