Royal Davis Stewart, Sr.

Visitation will be observed on Friday September 16, 2016 at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church 104 10th Street, Baldwin, LA 70514 from 12 Noon until funeral services at 2:00 PM. The Rev. Emile Jolivet will officiate the services. Burial will follow funeral services in the Greater New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with full Military Honors. 

Royal served in the United Stated Coast Guard and after twenty one years of service, he retired and received an Honorable Discharge. 

Memories of Royal will forever remain in the hearts of his loving and devoted wife, Carrie C. Stewart of Franklin, LA; two sons, Royal D. Stewart, Jr. and his wife Nicole of Baltimore, MD and Dwayne P. Stewart, Sr. and his wife Carla of Tacoma, WA; one brother, Shedrick Stewart of Seattle, WA;  one sister, Stella S. Colbert of Houston, TX; five grandchildren; one uncle, Rev. Clarence Craig, Sr. of Franklin, LA; another son to his marriage to Carrie, Errol B. Clarkston and his wife Barbara of Atlanta, GA and a host of nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.  

Royal was preceded in death by his parents, John Stewart, Sr. and Florence Davis Stewart, two sisters and several brothers.
