Visitation will be from 8:00am until funeral time at 10:00 am on Friday, November 11 at New Rising Sun Baptist Church, 230 St. Charles St. in Houma. Burial will follow in Restlawn Park Cemetery, 3450 Hwy 90 West in Avondale, LA.
He is survived by his wife Tyrika Brown Payne; sons, Ramon Payne, Damon Payne (Kourtnie), Rudy Stockman (Deontrinelle), and Jabrye Johnson; stepsons, Christopher Carter, Jr., Rasha'd and Tyre' Brown; daughters, Rudie Wiley (Angelo) and Ebony Payne; step daughter, Laci Cruz; sister, Yolanda Jackson (Kenneth); and thirteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Hannah Parker Payne; brother, James Payne; sisters, Betty Robinson, Bernadine Hill and Cherry Mae Payne.
