Visitation will be from 9:00 am until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8 at First Corinthian Baptist Church located at 1114 Church St in Houma. Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte Riley Shepard; sons, Samuel (Lucinda), Stanley, Victor (Robin), and Jason Shepard; daughter, Angela S. George; adoptive daughter, Marie Lee; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Sterling Shepard; parents, Mary Nixon-Scott and Sam Shepard; sister, Earlis Carter Miller; grandparents, Louise Nixon Wall and Wesley Nixon, Sr.
