Shirley Mae Sam, age 69 a resident of Birmingham, AL., and a native of Jeanerette, LA., died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at her residence. Visitation will be Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Jones Funeral Home in Jeanerette, La., from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette, La. Shirley leaves to cherish her memories; one son, Keith Sam of Birmingham, Ala; one brother, Raymond Sam of Jeanerette, La; three sisters, Gloria Provost of Birmingham, Ala., Martha Cashmere of Oklahoma, and Annie Keal of Jeanerette, La; five grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents. Officiating, Rev. Ellis Provost of Birmingham, AL.
