Stella W. Louis-Darby, age 59, a resident of Franklin and a native of Centerville, La., died Monday, April 12, 2010 at 9:50 AM at her residence. The visitation will be held Saturday, April 17, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel, 1101 Main St. Franklin, La., from 9:00 AM until the funeral at 11:00 AM. The burial will take place in New Providence Cemetery in Centerville, La. Stella leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Louis Darby of Franklin, La.; her mother, Mrs. Pearly Louis of Verdunville, La.; a daughter, Gwenette Darby of Franklin, La.; four brothers, Ronnie Louis of Baldwin, La., Irvin Louis of Centerville, La., Israel Washington, Sr. of Franklin, La., and Wesley Louis of St. Martinville, La.; two sisters, Joyce Louis of Franklin, La., and Grace L. James of New Iberia, La.; and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Israel Louis.
