A public viewing will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at St. Matthews Baptist Church, 3755 Hwy 311 in Houma, LA. Burial will follow in Crescent Farm Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Samuel Ross, Jr.; daughters, Barbara Ross and Gloria R. Johnson; five grandchildren; brother, Joseph Ward, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ross, Sr.; son, Raymond Ross; great granddaughter, Daneja Ross; parents, Joseph, Sr. and Sadie Adams Ward; brothers, Roosevelt, Lionel and Earl Ward; sister, Eola W. Wolfe; and son-in-law, James Johnson, Sr.
