Teressa received her early education at Bayou Black Elementary, Greenwood Middle School, and Evergreen Jr. High School. She graduated from H. L. Bourgeois High School in 1990. She dedicated her professional career to the Terrebonne Parish School Board.
Teressa shared her life with her loving husband, Donnis L. Myles. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and treasured memories. She was the proud mother of Desmond Myles and Dylan Myles (Tiara) and a devoted grandmother to her seven grandchildren: Nylaa Myles, Myles Paddie, Karlie Myles, Saylor Lee, Rowan Paddie, Kross Myles and Xy’La Allen. Her grandchildren held an especially precious place in her heart.
Teressa had a love for shopping and found joy in discovering special things for those she loved. Above all, she cherished her family and grandchildren, loving them unconditionally with all her heart. Her love and memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family.
Teressa also leaves to cherish her loving memory her father, Norman Duncan Jr. of Thibodaux, Louisiana; her brothers, Larry Duncan (Detra) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Cornelius Duncan of Thibodaux, Louisiana; her sisters, Darlene Duncan and Katherine Brown, both of Thibodaux, Louisiana; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Roselee Turner Duncan; her father-in-law, Johnny Myles; her mother-in-law, Rosalie Francois Myles; and her grandson, Remi Myles.
Teressa’s beautiful spirit, unconditional love, and devotion to her family will forever be remembered. Her legacy of love will continue to live on through the lives of those she loved so dearly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Triumph Baptist Church in Gibson, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, Louisiana.
