She leaves behind a legacy of love, education, dedication, passion, and kindness that touched the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Born into a family of educators, it was only natural that Trisha continued the family legacy and thrived as an educator.
For thirty-three years, Trisha Lynn dedicated herself to teaching at
Southdown Elementary School. She found joy in her students' accomplishments and took great pride in helping shape young minds. More than a teacher, she was a mentor, encourager, and source of inspiration to countless children and colleagues whose lives were enriched by her presence.
Trisha's love for education extended far beyond the classroom. She believed in the potential of every child and worked tirelessly to ensure her students felt valued, supported, and capable of
achieving their dreams. Her patience, compassion, and unwavering commitment earned her the respect and admiration of generations of students, parents, and fellow educators.
Outside of her career, Trisha was a devoted wife and daughter, loving mother, cherished family member, and loyal friend. She had a generous spirit and a heart full of love that she freely shared with those around her. Her smile could brighten a room, and her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Trisha Lynn leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Darrin Harris; her children, Roynisha James, Rayghan James, Darrin Harris, Darren Harris, Darian Harris, Wakeem Harris, and Ke'Mirah Harris; her mother, Shirley Mae Howard Clement; her brother, James Frank Clement Jr. (La'Ree Clement); her beloved nieces, Annalyse Clement and Spencer Clement; as well as a host of godchildren, extended family members, friends, former students, and colleagues who will forever treasure the impact she made on their lives.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Frank Clement Sr.; maternal grandparents: Bertha Mae Beauty Howard-Holmes and Spergeon Howard and Rev. Isaiah S. Holmes Sr.; and her paternal grandparents: Mae Vella Monroe Kyles and Joseph D. Clement, Sr.
Though she will be deeply missed, the lessons she taught, the love she shared, and the countless lives she touched will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Celebration of Life will be held at New Rising Sun Baptist Church, 230 St Charles St, Houma, LA 70360, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
