Verland A Barto

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 10:00 A.M until funeral services at 1:00 PM at the Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 Barrow Street Franklin, LA, with Reverend Allen R. Randle, Officiating. Burial will follow funeral services in the Franklin Cemetery - Main Street in Franklin.

Verland leaves to mourn: her four sons, Gary Barto, Mark Barto and Rodney Barto all  of Franklin, LA., and  Lorenzo Willis of New Iberia, LA; a daughter, Tamara Barto  of Franklin, LA; three sisters, Laura (Leroy) Washington, Jr. of Verdunville, LA., Shirley (J.C.) Milton and  Francis (Bobby) Grimm both of Franklin, LA; one brother, Larry (Greta) Lowe, Sr. of Franklin, LA; an aunt, Sandra (Junuis) Davis-Smith of Baton Rouge, LA; two uncles, Amos (Susan) Davis of New Orleans, LA and Jimmy Davis of Baton Rouge, LA; a sister-in-law, Mary Lowe of Port Arthur, TX; twenty grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Verland was preceded in death by: her mother, Elizabeth Davis Lowe; her father, J. C. Barto; her maternal grandmother, Laura Smith Jackson;  three aunts, Annie Mae Green, Idell Davis Hall and Eliza Davis Brown; an uncle, Anthony Davis; a sister, Sherry Charles and a brother, Oliver Lowe.
