Walter Murrell, Jr

Walter Murrell, Jr., age 64, a native of Beaufort, North Carolina, and a resident of Morgan City, La., died Friday, October 19, 2012 at 4:56 AM at Terrebonne General Medical Center. Visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City, Friday, October 26, 2012 from 10:00 AM until funeral at 1:00 PM. Burial in the Morgan City Cemetery. Walter leaves to cherish his memories; two sons, Perry Smith and Terrance Barber both of Morgan City; three daughters, Mrs. Demetrius (Lisa) Wilson and Sherrell Barber both of Patterson, La., and Elizabeth Dorsey of Morgan City, La; one brother, James (Roberta) Murrell, Sr., of Magnolia, New Jersey; two sisters, Arletha Richardson and Effa Murrell both of Beaufort, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Murrell, Sr., and Inez Cox Murrell, his wife, Doris Johnson Smith, a son, Charles Smith, a brother, Roy Murrell and a sister, Armenia Long.
