Willie ""Dickie"" Mitchell, age 73, a native and a resident of Franklin, LA., died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 8:16 AM at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia, LA. Visitation will be Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, La., from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Franklin Cemetery. Dickie leaves to cherish his memories; two sons, Bobby ""Edie"" Mitchell of Atlanta, GA., and Willie Mitchell of Florida; three brothers, Lucius Thomas, Jr., of Corpus Christ, TX., Edward Thomas and Harry ""Christine"" Lydes both of Franklin, La; six sisters, Aileen Thomas of Beaumont, TX., Sophia Willis, Christine Thomas, Mary ""Lionel"" Frye, Madeline Thomas and Enez Page all of Franklin, La; and a host of relatives and friends.
