Edwards A. Scardino, age 64, of Montgomery, Texas passed away on July 13, 2019. He was born in Houston, Texas on February 14, 1955, the only child of Edward and Clara Scardino who both preceded him. He was a wonderful man that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Our “Papa Bear” was a loving husband, an amazing father, and son. He was married to and is survived by his beautiful wife of 43 years, Kathleen Scardino whom he adored. Their relationship was like none other, he loved her completely, and loved the ground she walked on. And always said, “If Mama’s not happy, nobody’s happy!”
He is survived by his six children; his son Jason Scardino and his wife Cristin; his daughter Lachele Rivera and her husband Carlos; his daughter Theresa Snyder and her husband Justin; his son Edward Scardino and his wife Meagan Scardino; his son David Scardino; his son Jonathan Scardino and his fiance Mia Wagner; along with 14 grandchildren: Josef, Clara, Jude, Joshua, James, Cathryn Scardino; Christian, Jacob, Olivia and Giada Rivera; Seth and Laila Snyder; Aubriella and Anthony Scardino. He is survived by William Marek his lifelong friend who was like a brother; his nephews: William and Nicholas Marek and countless other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Edward had such a strong work ethic. He worked for Cargolux Airlines for many years and was dedicated to his work and friendships there. Edward had a big spirit and big personality. Everyone he met was a friend. He was a father figure to many. There’s no denying that Edward’s family were the people that he loved the most. Edward’s grandchildren were his heart and joy. Ed along with his wife Kathleen loved to take his grandkids fishing, out on golf cart rides, out to the lake to watch the sunset, to the park, and never turned down ice cream when the occasion called for it, or didn't call for it. He will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew him.
Visitation will be July 17, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Brookeside Funeral Home 13747 Eastex Freeway. Houston, Texas 77309.
