Phillis DeWalt was born on November 20, 1965 in Sacremento, California to Howard and Mahalie Roberts. Phillis graduated from Aldine High School. She graduated from Texas School of Business as an Accountant. Phillis also attended DeVry College and became a licensed CPA. She was baptised and accepted Christ at an early age. The family moved to Houston, Texas in 1972. She married her high school sweetheart, Samuel Duanne DeWalt, on April 25, 2009.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. Phillis was very gifted, talented and an enthusiastic fisherwoman. She started her own handcrafted jewerly business, Imperative Gifts in 2016 and also Imperative Sweet Treats in 2017; where she created unique desserts and captivated the hearts of many. She assisted her husband with his trucking business and was a savy business woman.
She has been reunited in Heaven with her mother, father, daughter, Tasha and nephew, Adrian. She leaves to cherish her memory: loving husband, Duanne; daughter, Jessica Leavell; son, Patrick DeWalt; grandchildren: Jaden and Josiah Colquitt; sisters: Crystal Allen (husband Kevin), Sylvia Lazard (husband Kenneth); brothers: Elder Paul Roberts and Timothy Roberts (wife Michelle). Phillis leaves her caring aunts, uncle, a host of nieces and nephews who loved, honored and cherished her. She will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten.
