In his younger years, he loved raising horses. At the age of 14, he moved to New York City to live with his stepmom, Virginia, and 3 of his siblings. In NYC, he finished high school and attended the local community college. He joined the Air Force in 1963, where he specialized as an aircraft mechanic. After completing 4 years of service, he traveled from the US to Honduras various times. On one of his trips to Honduras, he met and married his wife. As a family, they eventually moved to Los Angeles and finally settled in Houston for the remainder of their life.
He was raised Catholic, however, when he moved to Houston, the family converted to the Southern Baptist Ministries. He was heavily involved in church dedicating his time by working for the soundboard, singing in the choir, and fulfilling the responsibilities of a Deacon.
His career consisted of diverse occupations, including working on his family’s agricultural farm,
factory machinist, hardware associate, and retired custodian with Spring Branch ISD. Adam loved all Houston sports teams, especially the Astros. He had a photogenic personality and a jovial spirit. He loved wearing his suits and ties at any opportunity available, and of course on Sundays.
He loved to dance, attend family gatherings, and travel. Adam took pride in being able to speak Greek, being “the” taste tester, and was always prepared, in advance, for any family event. Among many things, he will be fondly remembered for his proper etiquette, randomly breaking out into song, needing help with his phone that was always “not working”, eating pizza with a fork and knife, being “el businessman”, and requiring his children to be at church every Sunday.
In his later years, he devoted his life to his children and grandchildren. He is deeply loved and will be immensely missed by his family and friends.
