In 1975, he immigrated to the United States, where he became the chief veterinarian for the City of Houston for 20 years. During this time, he also ran a successful veterinary practice in Houston, TX, demonstrating his remarkable work ethic and dedication. Later, he served as an inspector for the USDA, earning a reputation for his expertise and integrity.
In his profession, Dr. Hanna was frequently featured on television, providing valuable information and advice to the public on caring for their animals. He traveled throughout Texas, sharing his expertise and assisting other cities with his knowledge and skills. Through his work as a veterinarian, he made a significant impact on thousands of lives, touching hearts and providing care to countless animals and their families.
Dr. Hanna was a man of profound faith, devoted to his Coptic Orthodox beliefs. He prayed every day, finding strength and guidance in his daily prayers. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, providing him with deep compassion, resilience, and a sense of purpose. His unwavering belief in God's love and mercy was evident in his actions and interactions with others.
Dr. Adel Fahmy Hanna, born on January 1, 1943, was the beloved son of the late Fahmy Hanna and the late Zakia Khalil. He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Claudette S. Hanna, and his loving sons, Alfred Hanna and Joseph Hanna. Dr. Hanna was the cherished brother of the late George, Georgette, Wedad, and Nabil. He is also fondly remembered as the uncle of Nagwa Tanious, Nadi Abrahem, Nermin Louis, the late Nancy Louis, the late Nasser Louis, Nader Louis, Nabil Ibrahim, Alaa, Essam, Emad, Adel Adly Tanious, Abeer Tanious, Fahmy Georgy, Fayza, Vivian, Fayez, Sahar, Wael Nabil Hanna, and Nader Nabil Hanna. Dr. Hanna's extended family includes Fayek Mikhail, Adel Mikhail, George Mikhail, Ganet Mighael, Ashraf Selim, Elhami Selim, and Nabil Ibrahim.
