I'm sadden by the loss, of my great aunt Adiela, she was one of the GREAT ones. A woman I admired. She was and will always will be a major influence of the woman I am today.

I remember all the holidays at her house filled with family, friends, friends of friends, everyone was welcomed. She LOVED it. The music, dancing, good food, and it wouldn't end until you had breakfast.

She would put me in front of the stove on a chair stirring a BIG pot of rice pudding. I can still remember the smell....the smell of family love.

My Tia was a person that was very vain, always with full makeup especially her lipstick that brought out her beautiful smile and perfect teeth. I remember she went to Colombia and had her makeup tattooed and it almost killed her, but told me she would have done it again just to be beautiful.

Her sense of humor was always there even toward the end, telling her jokes and sometime they were dirty LOL.

There is so much I can say about my great aunt but mostly I was BLESSED to have her in my life. Now she is in a better place with her sister, my grandmother, and all her loved ones having one BIG party laughing, dancing, telling jokes and watching over all of us.
