Dear Natasha and family
My deepest condolences for your loss. Adil was a dear friend and will be thought of fondly by his friends in South Africa. I will particularly remember the spirit in which he engaged with people and his particular sense of humor. He enriched my working experience within Barclays Africa.
Rest In Peace Adil

God truly takes the best people first and this is so true in your case, Adil. You were a rare person, full of life, humor, good nature and an abundance of love, which you shared not only with your beautiful family, but all that entered your life. We shall always remember the blessings you bestowed upon our family whilst we were in South Africa and treasure the photo album of memories you gave us. Luqman and I remember admiring your talent in painting and how the beauty in your art reflected in your relationships with all those around you. An absolutely wonderful soul whom we feel privileged to have met and spend time with. We shall always picture you with a camera in your hand and a smile on your face. In Memory of a life so beautifully lived...a heart so deeply loved.

Dearest Natasha, Armaan, Maya and Zoya – There are no words to describe how sorry we are for you loss. Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart. Do remember that Adil lives on in every one of you. Share your stories of him with each other, comfort each other and remember the fun, crazy, personal moments you all shared together. They can never be taken away. Love, hugs and kisses.

Dearest Adil,

There are very few people that you meet in life who are "good all over". You were one of them. God truly blessed you and you shared this warmth, love and affection with all those who were fortunate to be around you and your family. Yes you left us very soon but in the brief time that we knew you, you gave us laughter and joy. I am sure God will have a front row seat for you in heaven so keep on smiling. This is how we will remember you.

To Natasha and the kids: yes this is a hard time and probably the hardest that you have been through. But you have to celebrate Adil's life and remember how many he touched and made them happier. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

The Manekias.

Our Dearest Adil - how does one begin to write about someone larger than life, someone who defined ‘life’ in everything he did and someone who led his life to the fullest - You had this absolutely amazing quality of making everyone feel extremely special and loved - I know I speak for all your friends when I say that in your presence we felt loved, and felt like family.

We have shared some incredibly special moments - all five of us have such fond memories with all five of you. Our countless Sunday afternoon teas on your patio, our day trips and holidays together in beautiful South Africa and the innumerable times you graciously hosted us - our most cherished memories of SA. Your love for our children was a true source of joy for us - the way you photographed Ayesha at her school recital, the way you & Natasha rushed Haider to the hospital when he fractured his arm and how you became Noor’s Godfather by being the first Uncle to visit her in hospital hours after her birth, with my favorite milkshake for me (I still can’t believe you thought of that). Even when you were unwell, you msgd me asking for Noor’s pictures to see how much she’d grown. You were my favorite ‘foodie’ who sent me msgs asking me to make ‘zarda’ for you and my special ‘chai’!

Our farewell gift from you as we left SA - a photo album with fifty pages of these cherished memories is more valuable to us now than we could ever imagine - this world is a place with much less generosity, much less love and much less laughter without you but we know you are in a better place, where you can stand tall and free, and where you are not constrained by medical interventions.

Our Dearest Natasha, Aarman, Maya and Zoya - we stand by you now and always. Each of you are incredibly special to us and we know you will carry on Adil’s legacy beautifully. All our love & prayers.

Adil, the moments that we shared with you were special. From early on in our friendship your charming witty personality shone through. It is your love of life and interaction with all of us that will provide long lastimg memories. Whilst death is inevitable in your case it came far too early . We will continue to support and remain friends with your lovely family who no doubt will treasure you forever, as will we. Love Madhur and Sukhin

Adil - gone too soon. You will be deeply missed. Your jovial nature, laughter and large heartedness touched everyone's life. Always there to provide counsel and lend a helping hand. We knew each other for 30 years and our friendship really flourished after your stay in Singapore. It was always fun reminiscing of the good times we spent. Even though we lived continents apart your departure has left me and my whole family saddened. Rest in peace bro and may God grant you the choicest place in heaven.

Natasha, may God give you and the children the strength and courage to bear this big loss. Wish we were there in person to provide solace and comfort to you and the family. It will be sometime before we reconcile that he is no longer amongst us. Take care.

Our dearest Adil, it's difficult and heart wrenching to accept that the May 2017 evening we spent together would be our last.

One of the most cheerful, witty, optimistic, and awesome people we have known. You would thrive on bringing people together to have just...FUN! We will miss your "leg-pulling", your catching us on camera in those awkward moments, and that larger than life generous heartedness. I'd always ask - when will we get to see those pictures, and you'd say "one day"! I never imagined that the one day would not come at all - for this reason.

Natasha, Armaan, Maya and Zoya, you've shown incredible resilience and courage through this challenge. We pray that you have the strength to bear this incredible loss. God be with you.

Adil, RIP dear friend.
