Aida R Rivero

Aida Rosa Rivero transitioned on Monday the 29th of July 2019, On that day God gained a warrior. As some know Mom has been battling with dementia for over a year and declining health for the last 8 months. On Monday she transitioned to be with her Husband, her family and is no longer struggling. Her suffering is over.

Over the past day have had a few people ask me “How are you doing”. Well I'm here to say: "I’m doing great, celebrating her life, because mourning would mean - that I wanted her suffering to continue, that I was selfish. Today she is free, she is with our father. As in Revelation 21.4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Therefore, don’t say, “You’re Sorry” “Don’t mourn” honor her memory, celebrate and rejoice her life, and her freedom. She is probably rearranging heaven, planting more red roses 🌹 “because you can never have enough” and instructing on how to properly make her double "cortado" espresso.

As the days go pass we will remember and miss her, but be at peace.

Aida Rosa Rivero, 86, of Katy, Texas, passed away July 29, 20119. She was born in Camaguey, Cuba on March 20, 1932 to Jose and Elvira Marti. She married Alberto Rolando Rivero on February 11, 1957. Aida Rosa Rivero had a passion for knitting, needle point and sewing. She looked forward to her rosary session with the girls.

Survived by Children: Al Rivero and Rene Rivero, Grandchildren: Albert, Melissa, Christian, Justin, Aranza and Bella, Great-grandchildren: Ava and Lucas. Siblings: Daniel Marti and his children Dania and José Daniel

Predeceased: Spouse Alberto Rolando Rivero, Siblings Mario Marti

Visitation will be held on August 1st, 2019 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held on August 2nd, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Rd. Houston, TX 77077. Followed by an Interment at 11:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
