He was born in southern Egypt and lived primarily in Tanta, Egypt. In addition to his passion for gardening and woodworking. In his younger years Albert was also an avid athlete who competed in water polo, swimming, biking, and volleyball.
Albert attended medical school at the University of Tanta and graduated with a medical degree in clinical pathology and practiced medicine in Egypt and in Saudi Arabia.
In 1974, he began his medical career with the Ministry of Health in Egypt before practicing clinical pathology at the American Hospital in Tanta. He was appointed Director of the hospital from 2013 to 2016.
Albert’s faith was evident through his works. He humbly served with and co-founded several non-profit diagnostic laboratories and a kidney dialysis diagnostic clinic that served underprivileged areas. He also planned and hosted several medical missions with Samaritan’s Purse and STAR ministries.
In late 2015, he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer which he battled courageously for 2.5 years.
He joyfully spent his final years on the floor playing with his granddaughters Adeline and Amelia, planting trees and painting furniture. Towards the end of his battle, Albert found comfort knowing with absolute confidence that he was going to be with Jesus for all eternity where there is no pain, no tears, and no cancer.
We will miss his infectious smile, loving spirit and his heart that relentlessly served others, but we rest in the truth of God’s word:
"Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent".....John 17:3
“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.” John 17:24
We are certain that right now his smile radiates even more than it did before. He’ll be missed but we know we will see him again soon. His life was well lived and his legacy will live on.
